Terms of Service
1. Introduction
Welcome to Realpurr.com (the “Site”), operated by Star North LLC d/b/a Realpurr (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using this Site, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
Realpurr is an educational and philanthropic brand. Real estate services are provided by licensed real estate professionals in accordance with applicable state law.
2. Purpose of the Site
The Site provides educational content related to real estate, philanthropy, and animal welfare. All information is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, tax, or professional advice.
3. Real Estate Services
Realpurr itself is not a brokerage. Real estate brokerage services are performed by licensed agents and brokers in compliance with state law and applicable brokerage agreements.
Nothing on this Site creates a brokerage relationship unless established in writing through proper documentation.
4. The $1,000 Pledge Program
For each qualifying real estate transaction completed through the Company’s affiliated licensed agent(s), the Company funds a $1,000 pledge to an eligible animal welfare organization selected by the client. For the purpose of clarity, the words ‘pledge’ and ‘donation’ are used interchangeably and are meant to convey the same meaning.
If the client chooses to personally adopt up to two pets from that organization:
- A portion of the $1,000 pledge will be applied toward the shelter’s standard adoption fees for those pets.
- Any remaining balance of the $1,000 pledge will be donated directly to the organization.
- If adoption fees exceed the $1,000 pledge amount, the client is responsible for the difference.
If no adoption occurs, the full $1,000 is donated to the eligible animal welfare organization selected by the client.
Ongoing care, veterinary costs, food, training, supplies, transportation, or other services are not covered.
The Company reserves the right to verify eligibility of transactions and recipient organizations.
The $1,000 pledge will be funded within 10 days following the closing of a qualifying real estate transaction and receipt of applicable commission by the Company's affiliated licensed agent. A "qualifying transaction" means a closed, funded residential or commercial real estate sale in which the Company's affiliated agent(s) earned a commission. If the client's selected organization ceases to operate, loses its legal status, or declines the donation prior to funding, the Company will donate the $1,000 to an alternate qualifying organization selected by the Company. The pledge program is subject to change or discontinuation at the Company's discretion with respect to transactions not yet closed at the time of any such change.
5. Eligible Organizations
Donations may be directed to qualifying animal welfare organizations, including, but not limited to:
- Companion animal shelters
- Pet adoption agencies
- Animal rescue organizations
- Wildlife rehabilitation centers
Organizations must be legally operating and compliant with applicable laws.
The Company reserves the right to decline organizations that do not meet reasonable eligibility standards qualifying as animal welfare organizations.
6. Donations and Tax Treatment
The $1,000 pledge is funded directly by the Company. The client does not receive any cash, credit, rebate, or commission reduction as a result of this program. The Company, not the client, makes the donation and may claim applicable tax deductions for charitable contributions, subject to IRS rules. Clients should not assume any personal tax benefit from this program. Clients are strongly encouraged to consult their own tax advisor regarding any tax implications specific to their situation.
